Graduates with a Certificate in Nursing can become a nurse educator by completing a Master’s degree in Nursing Education.
- Nurse Manager/Administrator: Nurse managers and administrators are responsible for overseeing nursing staff and patient care in healthcare organizations. They work in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare settings. Nurse managers and administrators create staffing plans, manage budgets, and develop policies and procedures. Graduates with a Certificate in Nursing can become a nurse manager or administrator by completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing and obtaining certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Nurse Practitioner (NP): NPs are advanced practice registered nurses who provide primary and specialized healthcare services to patients across the lifespan. They work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and private practices. NPs can diagnose and treat patients, prescribe medication, and order diagnostic tests. Graduates with a Certificate in Nursing can become an NP by completing a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing and obtaining certification through a national certification organization, such as the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
